HIS VOICE

Felt like sharing one of my poems with you today (alongside some of my slow exposure photography). Last week I painted in town (see last post) a picture called 'I'm all ears' which was about how God loves us to talk to him, loves to listen. This poem is a celebration that this isn't just a one way conversation - God loves to speak to us too, and does so in all sorts of ways. Sometimes to tell us stuff we need to hear and sometimes giving us stuff to tell others.
The King of Kings, the First and Last, the Creator of the Universe speaks to us, shares secrets and dreams with us - how incredibly amazing is that?!

HIS VOICE
Hearing, listening, knowing
My Maker's voice.
Encountering your words, your thoughts
Is precious beyond definition
Feeds my being, sings to my soul!

Articulating, connecting...
Announcing, disclosing...
Conversing, imparting...
THE ALMIGHTY making yourself known!
The mindbendingly EXTRA - ordinary
As normal, natural, familiar, constant.
Expressing your heart to ME, THROUGH me,
Entrusted, enlisted
A mouthpiece to your news
Speaking gold dust
Communicating heaven's heart!
...Gratitude beyond words.
